I tried changing the product code on my 6120c to get a different language pack, and when nsu finished and the phone went to restart, it gave me the error message: "Phone start-up failed. Contact retailer." I didn't know what to do.

Then luckily I found that if u press "3" "*" and the green send buttons while powering phone on it will start up. I did that and phone was not working well but had the changed language pack so I changed product code back to the original and ran nsu again and phone is fine after I loaded back up files.

Did I do something wrong? I followed the directions at this link: http://thenokiablog.com/2007/05/12/how-to-update-firmware-debranding-andor-change-language-pack-on-the-nokia-n95/
and changed the product code to: 0546344 (Balkans)

Can somebody please help...

Hi. I have a similar problem...

I got a UK 3 branded 6120c. I changed the product code and installed a new firmware (from 3.8 something to 4.21) according to the instruction found here: http://nokia.nigelcoldwell.co.uk/firmware.htm

when I started the phone the text "phone start up failed. please contact the retailer" appeared. I have tried to format it with green button + * + 3 + turn on but it wont work! no formatting screen appears. I have also moved the pin code check on sim. Nothing helps. The phone is kaputt - what should I do???

Help!
