This is driving me CRAZY!!

I have resonantly seen a guy on Youtube update his firmware with FOTA (Firmware over the air) and ever since then i have been trying to do the same and after 2 days of solid work and search i came across absolutely nothing!

First i found out about FOTA from few other people trying to do the same thing and it all comes from the Device Management that is built into the Z8 and i cant even connect to the MOTOROLA server with the error message "SyncML is currently suspended". What dose that mean? I have called up Motorola and they helpled me sign up for a "Motorola Account" which is needed to access the FOTA. but even after that...it still does not work!

then I thought that i needed to set up WAP/GPRS to get it working but i have no way of accessing the internet because i have bought the Z8 over eBay and the guy who originally bought it had it on Vodafone contract.....now im using it on T-Mobile pay as you go and WAP settings are all locked within the phone and there is not way of changing it...and even if i make a new profile with all the T-mobile stuff, but the dam phone is still trying to access vodafone!

I should also mention that i will be buying a seperate vodafone sim card so i can accesss the wap, but i first have to make shore if it's WAP that i really need!

So with the WAP being useless i tried to surf the net to find if i can download the firmware and then transfer it via USB to the phone but it is absolutely impossible to find a single result on Google or even yahoo. I even installed PCSync to see if there is anything useful, but the crappy bluetooth in the phone wont connect to anything, not even other phones, and i know my bluetooth on the PC works, because its brand new and works with my other things! even the USB sometimes wont work and i know for definite that i have no problems with my USB ports.

It is really important that i do this upgrade, because i have been putting up all the slow, choppy, crappy interface of the Z8 for absolutely ages and i got this phone for the features that it offers, but its no use if half of them dont even work properly.... if anyone has done an upgrade?....where can i find some release notes outlining the bugs fixed!

Currently there are NO firmware updates publicly available for the Z8. However, this situation might change in the next few weeks... http://www.motosmartphones.com/rumours/z8-firmware--updates-available.htm

When you're in the Internet settings, you can select the preferred internet connection (from the Options menu) and chose your t-mobile profile instead of the Vodafone profile.

Anyways as stuclark said, the update isn't out yet so be patient lol. There's no way such an update would come out without a bunch of posts on here and various forums announcing it in the excitement.
