I bought a Nokia 6500 Slide Phone. But im not sure it is a symbian phone. Coz when i try to install Smart Movie phone showes me sdi or sid fils not suport something like that.

What does that mean ?

What is the best move player for my phone.

Smartmovie is written to S60 platform and your phone has S40 platform. Symply, smartmovie is not compatible with your phone. The S40 platform is a so called dummy platform. They call it dummy because you can not install any applications except java based.
I don't know about java based video player, but i think, that you don't need any.

You have a video player installed in your device. And there is a lot of free video conversion software on the net and provided by Nokia as well.

I'm using mediacoder wich is perfect for my s60 smartphone and should be good for yours to, but it's very complicated to set up. You can play with it. Or you can try Nokia's video manager or PcSuite itself to convert videos.
