How can i set the 6120c to display the phone numbers with the contact name. Usually in the contacts it shows all the names and have to open one to see the phone number(s). In the view mode i see only 3 (to change the display order of first name,last name / last name , first name etc...)

I don't think you can do that with a S60 3rd Edition software.

The built-in phonebook can't show names and numbers at the same time.

But the good thing about symbian is that you don't have to use the built-in phone book. There are various symbian contact managers, so if you don't like the phone book app that came with your phone you simply download another one.
