Hi, I debranded my o2 n95 to install software version 20 today and saved a backup to my memory card. Ran the setup, but then stupidly ran the backup after and this installed all of the o2 menus etc. on the new system making the upgrade pointless. Is there any way I can reinstall the generic software to get rid of this or get it back to generic manually? Thanks in advance for any help, Andy.
both a date and a time component in the file name .. so check to see if that helps you achieve what you need.
additionally you could try tools / settings/ general / factory defaults ...
Good Luck! :)
Start again and aim for a vanilla phone.
Save your important data from your mem card (or 8Gb storage area if N95 8Gb).
Perform the update and then reinstall all your apps to the phone mem.
Format your card (fat16) and then reinsert to you phone.
Create a folder on your mem card and store all your apps' sis and JAD/JAR files in it. Makes for an easy reinstall the next time.
And a clean and stable running phone then onwards.
