View Full Version : Memory problem on 7650

21-01-2003, 07:34 AM
Hi,

Shortly,I regularly get the following pop-up on my 7650: "Unable to receive SIM messages. Please remove some data" (it might be something else in English - I had to translate it from Dutch).
Anybody has a clue? I already cleaned up temporary files etc. 5maybe not all of them).

Thx.
Luc.

Never heard of this error message before.
Check app manager for free memory and report here.
Menu -> Tools -> Manager -> Move the joystick to the right.

Hi,

Thanks for the fast replies!
I have indeed version 3.12 - free memory is reported as 1406KB.

How/were do I upgrade the SW?

Luc.

Bring your phone with the warrenty card to your nearest Nokia Care Centre and ask for a firmware upgrade. It's should took less than 2 hours to finish.

1406KB is a lot of free memory,so it is definitely not a memory issue.
Like Edgedale, take it for an upgrade in the nearest NSC.

or just a suggestion, try a hard reset first. the code is *#7370#. please note that this will restore your phone back to the state when you first purchased it. you will lose all data! so before doing the reset, back up your data with pc suite and make sure you have the charger plugged in. if you run out of batt during the hard reset your phone will not be usable.

just a thought, and hope this works. :D
