Remember how SE said their flagship P990 would let the user "leave your PC behind while travelling, yet access everything you need for effective communication (http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=gb&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pip7&zone=pp&pid=10336)"? And of course you know they decided in July to "freeze the P990, W950 and M600 firmware versions at this point the firmware releases meet the requirements of bug fixes (http://developer.sonyericsson.com/thread.jspa?threadID=39963&start=108&tstart=0)" even in the face of publicized p990i (http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Phones/P990i) and m600i (http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Phones/M600i) bug-lists.

So you're less than thrilled with SE's customer-communications and the way they've treated their UIQ3-early-adopters. Well, the new CEO Hideki ‘Dick’ Komiyama's assumes office Nov 1 and now's your chance to get his attention early.

There's a lively discussion thread (http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34441) in the my-symbian.com UIQ 3 forum, launching an [B]open letter (http://www.bli.com.ar/openletter/open.html) to Mr Komiyama. All you need to do is read the letter (http://www.bli.com.ar/openletter/open.html), then log in (http://my-symbian.com/forum/login.php) if you're already a forum member or complete a (free) registration (http://my-symbian.com/forum/profile.php?mode=register) if you're not, and add your name to the signature-list (http://www.my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34461&postdays=0&postorder=desc).

SE's UIQ3-phone users' open letter to the new CEO is being featured on Digg and slashdot. If you want to help highlight the poor customer communications, add your voice, you can Digg it here (http://digg.com/gadgets/Dissatisfied_Sony_Ericsson_smartphone_customers_sp eak_out) and slashdot it here (http://slashdot.org/firehose.pl). Filter slashdot's firehose with "Sony Ericsson".
