I'm trying to send an image from my 7650 to my PC through Bluetooth.
I know that BT is working as PC-Suite is able to connect and do the limited things that it does.
If I try and send an image directly though I get the message "sending failed".
I have a Sitecom CN-500 BT device.
I can send files using this and the BT neighbourhood to the 7650, just can't seem to receive them.

Try the http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_search.gif Search (http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/search.php), with word registry and bluetooth. It should help you out. :D

Thanks - am going to give that a try. I didn't have the acceptother registry entry and have just installed it.
If not then I will see whether the software that MSI provide will work with my BT device as that seems to be the version that allows this reg hack.

Oh well - that didn't seem to fix it. Tried the hack and the MSI version of Widcomm and still no luck sending from phone to PC.
Does anyone know of any other solution for BT connectivity apart from Widcomm?

Widcomm version 18.104.22.168 and XTND Connect Bluemanager drivers.

If you added the value manually it won't work. There should already be an acceptother key in the register. If not, install the newest version of widcomm and then change the key. It should work.

Thanks I've just managed to get Widcomm 22.214.171.124 from MSI and this does have the correct entry in the registry. Changed this and I can now transfer files back from the 7650.
Thanks for everyones help.

Download Billionton's latest bluetooth drivers at
No more problems!
Direct connection to your phone. No need to use the serial port first!
I use both Billionton and MSI bluetooth USB adapters.
The software and drivers work for both brands!
I didn't read that have you solved this problem but anyway I found this sigmacom's post (http://allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5974&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15) and I get it work in my own computer.
Try to see if you have a key in the registry path "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\Servic es\004" named "AcceptOther". If this key exists, change it's value to "1" (it should be "0"). Also do the same in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\Servi ces\004" and then reboot your computer.
If you don't see the "AcceptOther" key, then maybe you should install an other version of Widcomm... :-?
I will make my util to do automatically all the above settings in the next beta version... ;)
So if you have Wildcom drivers and WinXP you can try attachment above but your own risk.
