Hi All.

I have already twice upgraded the firmware.

Every time the device is completely reset: I loose all the notes (!?!), all the settings (background, sounds, bluetooth, internet, one-click-phone-numbers etc. etc. etc.), most of the extra applications installed...

Even a backup done just before the upgrade and a restore just after does not give me back all above.

Any suggestion how to avoid such a pain next time?

Same happened to me, no biggie since a resync with my laptop cured the calendar stuff that the backup did not restore and all the contacts.

Stuff like my internet accounts, MMS account and wifi settings did not restore. Speed dial also not and some of my 3rd party software (Swiss Manager). Tried to reinstall Swiss Manager with the suite but got a exception error every time and had to copy the sis file to my memory stick and click on it on the phone with the file manager.

I now also have 2 version ('more' button and select 'status') numbers for organizer (CXC162036 R3B01 and R4A13) and CDA (CDA162007/1 R3B01 and R4A09) Does it just tell you the previous version or did something go pear shape with the update?

Well, now that I check the numbers, I even suspect that I didn't really update the SW!!!

The numbers I see are:
Phone CXC 162037 R7A001
Bluetooth CXC 162058 R4F01
Organizer 162036 R3B01
CDA 162008/65 R3A01

which seem pretty much the same I had before the new installation!!!!
