Hi all,

Wonder if anyone has my same experience.
When I go online in my office wireless, a blank page keeps loading until connection is timed out...my E61 does see the network though. :con?

Any remedy around?

Appreciate any help! Many thanks! :)

Not sure about what you are getting with the blank screen but my phone also would see the WLAN and not connect. I had all sorts of difficulty getting into it until I disabled anti-probing in the WLAN firewall.

Can't find anything about anti-probing in my wireless router, any pointers? :)

Wirelessly posted (Nokia E61: Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.1; U; en-us) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413)

Are you associated and authenticated according to the router log?
Does e-mail work ? (POP3)

Can you open a web address using the IP address rather than an URL?
regards, Michael

Sorry jetan, I'm pretty new to w.networking and just get to where I'm going by peering into and messing with the options. Would suggest u try bodstrups methods of analysis, and check that stuff like firewall, wpa/wep & mac address settings, etc. are not keeping you out. If u can momentarily disable all security & firewall settings and try to connect then you could isolate your problem either to these functions or somewhere else... good luck.

Oh, and anti-probing is just an option I have in the settings for my zyxel voip/wireless/adsl all-in-one unit: I now have it enabled but "respond to ping on LAN/WAN" with disallow unauthorised access checked --I can guess what that means but don't know how it might be implicated in the way the nokia contacts the wlan.

I had success on an Airport Extreme WLAN that was connected directly to the net...so far so good.
