Why some themes that i have installed just disappeared after i turned off the phone? And when i tried to install the lose ones again, it said it's unable to installed them.:frown:

hey every one .. yes the phone hangs for 30sec after messaging and its very annoying .... yes there is a temp solution .. all u have to do is dail *#7370# this will reset ur phone to company defaults.. dont worry about ur sim numbers it will be there even the memory card content.. all u have to worry about is the phone mem .. every thing will be removed and will perform as thought its just out of the company BUT !! this will be there only for 4 or 5 days .. and u will face the problem of hanging again ... i am not sure if pc format will help or it will perform the same .. i would like to know from some one who has done it ... and one more thing
find out the manafacture date of the phone ie *#0000# and it will show u the version and the date of manafacture... note : the V 3.18 and below plays good music but where as all the new ones dont .. check it out ur self u will find great difference !

My new Nokia 3250 justs stays in 'Offline' mode and fails to recognise any SIM (tried O2, Orange & BT[Vodaphone]

When I try to change the profile it just prompts 'Insert SIM'

All other bits work like the music player, camera and links up to pc no problem


Anybody got any ideas or is it just a dead unit?

First, close all, or the bigger, background aplicattions. Second, try a soft format, if the first one doen´st result, and should take care of that.

I had similar problem but in oppisite way

when I send messege my phone hang for a1 minuit/

I tried to restore my phoneto defult setting but the same problem appear again>>


after that I solve it by formatting the phone(not memory card)

how to format>>> turn off ur phone press those buttons (3+*+ call button) and keep holding it while u turn on the phone (dont forgit to keep hold that three buttons) until u see formatting messege,,,

That thing happens also with N91, but is possible remove them, by "delete". Now, in N73, all of them are on application manager...
So if they are not presented, only try to find them on disk with a Explorer program, and delete them.

I can delete themes without any problem..

Hey, Install Nokia Music manager on your desktop (given in the CD provided with the phone) Use that software to upload music to your cell phone. Nokia Music Manager compresses the Mp3/WAV to ACC+ (resduced format)...

Use PCSuite - Nokia Phone Browser - Messages, it works for me, but is a hard task, because it doesn´t see the privat foldes, so is need to pass all messages to inbox, then rearrange them again on new device.

Hello all, ive been having loads of problems with my Nokia 3250 ever since ive had it. most prominently the big freeze after sending text messages, the only way i found to stop it temporarily was to do a quick format. however after sending/recieving about 350 texts this started again. im not the only one either, two other people i know have been having exactly the same problem.

ive just had a replacement 3250 given to me via the o2 shop as my old one totally borked, nothing on the screen so i assume they couldnt fix it. now, firstly, its not recognising my memory card at all, now i havent tried it in another phone so it mught just be the card is nackered. secondly, i am unable to send text messages, i just get a ntification after about 20 seconds saying "unable to send message to X" they just sit in the outbox as failed or deferred.

does anyone know how to alleviate this problem?

If you find that you cant send a message its because the message centre number in your messaging settings is wrong. To fix this follow these instructions:

Go to messaging > Options > Settings > Text Message > Message Centre > SIM msg. centre

in here you need to make sure the message centre number is +447802000332

Maybe is like that, or is a firmware issue. But is like the old 3230! And 3250 is the line of evolution of 3230, so... should be like that.

i just had the same problem the other week, if its still within the 1 years manufacturers warranty then your retailer should send it back and get it fixed or replaced for free.

i dont think there is a way around this mate, its just the way it is on every 3250 i have seen/used.


i still have an overlying problem since i have recieved my new replacement. my micro sd memory card will not work in my 3250. i have formatted it using a card reader, using the 3 different file types, FAT, FAT32 and NTFS but my phone still wont pick it up. ive tried it in my mates phone and it works ok, but his still didnt work in mine. i find it hard to beleive that this brand new phone wont read any memory card! but if i cant fix it within the next few days then its going back to the shop.

oi again..i would like to kno if its necessary to install an anti-virus on my 3250 even tho i dnt use it to surf the net or any other web related purposes..

To have a Virus on your phone You must agree with the installation... is like that on Symbian devices. So, is not a mandatory thing!

Is not card memory, but phone memory. Copy the files you want install to the card, and then install it with Y-Browser or the file explorer that came with 3250.

The main point in my queiry is that I want to still be able to use the twist funktion (and the dedicated play/stop etc buttons). I have LCG player, wich I like. The dedicated buttons work, but I can't figure out how to make it start when I twist the bottom.Does oggplayer really solve that?

i looked here, and i followed the steps on how to install Phoenix, and i did succesfully, but with one problems, when i scan my phone, i only get

i did what i was told and i didn't disconnect the cable and was preventing it from getting loose because it says in the advisory that if it gets disconnected my phone might not work anymore.

but then when i was at 25% of the update (i finished download of 62.3 MB), someone texted me and i was on vibrate!

then the computer said my fone was disconnected! OMG!!!

my fone died. well it didn't respond to any keypresses so i tried turning it off but to no avail. so idecided to take out the battery. but when i tried swithching it on it still didn't work.

i had it repaired at a local cellphone repair outlet.

do you think it can still be fixed? my friend told me that it can be with flash but i just wanna ask you guys coz you're like experts on this.

damn! that was hard earned money going down the drain. see i don't have a dad and my mom can't work so i pretty much carry all the burden at home. i work for the whole family and send my sister to school. that phone was my christmas gift to myself, first thing i bought after a year of hardwork.

I have Nokia 3250. I want to use Realplayer also for playing music. I have a querry.

When I play music with the std software provided...I am able to lock my phone or run the music in background, however when I play music on Realplayer I am unable to run it in background or lock my phone. Is there any method by which I can do this?

The first problem is with the Bluetooth, i cant receive files because it is saying that there is no space on the phones internal memory, i have plenty of room on the memory card, how do i set it so the files i am receiving through Bluetooth to go onto the memory card instead of the phone memory?

My second query is about music transferring, when i transfer my music onto my memory card, it only shows up in the gallery function, and not the proper music player, how do i make it so it transfers to the memory card but shows up in the proper music player?

I have a 3250, its a great phone. I had no problems with it aside from the delay in sms sending, but i found a way to solve the problem. I just reformat my phone once or twice every month using the *#7370# den typing my default security code w/c is 12345. But the problem is, my 3250 keyboard is broken. The repair shops in my city don't have a 3250 board replacement and that sucks. Now i'm having sms sending delays again and my phone hangs. i lost my 1, 2, 3, on my keypad, that means i cant type numbers 1-3, and letters from A-F. The problem is when i want to reformat it again, i cant type the 12345 on the security code. I was having problems on typing *#7370# but i found a way on doing that, i just use the copy/paste function. The problem is when the security code field pops out, i cant use the paste function. Do you know a way on how i could solve this? I got an idea, maybe a third party software could do it using a computer... Like softwares that could reset a 3250 phone or something? or connect my 3250 to the computer then use a software that will enable me to do a real time dialing or inputing numbers using the computer.. do you know a way? tnx...

plzzz guide me through this problem, whenever i switch on my 3250 it shows "Test Mode Nokia" screen and on the top of the screen is written sumthng strange like ape_w43_..... none of my keys work so i always remove the battery and after putting the battery back abt 10-20 times the phone boots and works fine until i switch it off, sumtims it also shows local mode. During the test mode screen if i plug usb cable the pc suite detects it and i can even transfer music etc etc.I was thinking of updating my fw from v3.18 rm38 to the latest one 4.14 with nokia software updater as it wud completely replace my software... but i was afraid of my set going dead while updating plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help i cannot afford a new phone!!!:(:(:(:(

i guess your sis installer is the one provided at nokia's website.
feed.sis there is corrupt, it's only 2kb in size.

you can find firmware update at nokia's site.
try googling for SUPER converter, it's free and it can handle almost any format. real player can read MP4 file with MP4 format video and AAC format audio.
try using the latest Nokia PC Suite to transfer music, u can RIP cd's.

Hi I installed Skye Tones which I downloaded from Series60v3 website.But when I try to set a .3gp file as my video tone it says its not allowed:con? . So I tried to uninstall it but it isnt working. Can you please tell me how to uninstall it or how it make it work?

after that I solve it by formatting the phone(not memory card)

how to format>>> turn off ur phone press those buttons (3+*+ call button) and keep holding it while u turn on the phone (dont forgit to keep hold that three buttons) until u see formatting messege,,,

This did not work for my Nokia 3250 v 3.18 was this intended for this phone? Neither the reset to factory *#7370# (it asked for a lock code that I did not set up or use).

I would like to reset my phone to see if it will solve a few problems.

I would also like instructions on how to take apart the phone. I think one problem (it not reading my memory card even though my computer reads it fine - and the phone at one point did read it fine), will require me to take the phone apart to solve.

I use a Nokia 3250 phone too, recently i heard a firmware upgrade is available on the internet for its users to update d phone.
So i downloaded the Nokia Software Updater tool from Nokia Website.. but my problem now is dat when i connected the software to the internet it showed a "04.14 update available" but the file is like 70Mb, -Thats going to take like enternity..
So I will like to know if one can just download the firmware directly frm somewhere(using Download Managers -to make it Faster) then install it to d Phone Direct??


Also, I want to know if FlashLite Applications(like Games etc) are available for Nokia 3250, and can u provide links where i can get them.

after 1 week it goes in offline mode and its not working anymore!
the camera,Mp3 player,and everything else is working except antena(there is no network coverage)

i changed and tried many Sim cards but all the same problem
i tried restore to default factory,flash,*#7370#,.........
no answer!

i gave it to an Engineer but he said that the memory and SimCard kit is down(corrupted) and theres nothing that he can do till find a stock and replace it
but it s unbeleiveable that it could goes down like this and i must pay about 200$

is there anyone with the same problem that can help me through this!

I have a weird problem with a 2Gb memorycard on my 3250. When I try to use it, the menu disappears somewhere. I mean, when I press "Open menu"-button it shows an empty screen and doesnt move until I press it back. My computer opens the card normally but for some reason it doesnt seem to work on the phone.

Most of the time it cant even locate the new 2Gb memorycard, and all other memorycards I have work just fine (128Mb and 1Gb). I dont know, maybe I broke it or something? It was attached to the adapter really hard and I had troubles in getting it out :frown:. But shouldnt my computer let me know if its broken somehow then ?!

Hmm it seems that my phone didnt run the other memorycards either but no worries, I fixed that problem.

But the problem with 2Gb card remains, except that now my phone cant find it. It says "No memorycard", and no matter how many times I tried it still couldnt find it :s:

i formatted my memory card & updated software by nokia software updater via the net

but after that all themes that were on the mobile before when i install them again it says unable to install ! how can i clear the log for application manager or format phone memory and what is the problem with it

Yup. 3250 have a big error in the system
From the vendor where I got the phone,he installed an apps called "SMS Accelerator",after that My 3250 never been Hang when sending messages or anything else..
A little trouble is,my phone frequently turned into camera mode,and taking 1 pics,after that exit.. It was very disturbing..
And I wanna ask about the font changing about 3250,anybody had a tutorial about it?
I got a SysExplorer for 3250,but not the font remover..

i want to install some screensaver (in .gif format) to my Nokia 3250 phone. some of the tutorial i found said install the file to Memorycard/Phone/>System>Screensavers.. but i couldnt find any Screensavers Folder there.

Also, have to set the screensaver on Theme>anytheme>Edit>Powersaver>Screensaver..

But under Powersaver, i only found option for 1) Date and Time, and 2) Text which both of them was the default one.

is it true Nokia 3250 don't have any screensaver application?

during the weekend i tried updating my fone from 3.23 to 4.14.
i did what i was told and i didn't disconnect the cable and was preventing it from getting loose because it says in the advisory that if it gets disconnected my phone might not work anymore.

but then when i was at 25% of the update (i finished download of 62.3 MB), someone texted me and i was on vibrate!

then the computer said my fone was disconnected! OMG!!!

my fone died. well it didn't respond to any keypresses so i tried turning it off but to no avail. so idecided to take out the battery. but when i tried swithching it on it still didn't work.

i had it repaired at a local cellphone repair outlet.

do you think it can still be fixed? my friend told me that it can be with flash but i just wanna ask you guys coz you're like experts on this.

damn! that was hard earned money going down the drain. see i don't have a dad and my mom can't work so i pretty much carry all the burden at home. i work for the whole family and send my sister to school. that phone was my christmas gift to myself, first thing i bought after a year of hardwork.

i just feel so bad man. please, any words of help guys?

what will happen if i twist to normal mode after switching on the camera mode

the phone turns to standby mode, but the camera app is still open in the background.
that is, if you use task switcher to switch to the camera again, now the camera will not show you an image of what is in front of you, but an image of what is to your left

last week i tried to update my nokia 3250 firmware version on internet with the help of nokia software updater. But, in between the process the data connection losted and due to this my phone gonna died.
now when i am switchen on my phone then it shows only a blank white screen and after 30 secs it automatically switched off.
now what can i do for this to fix this problem?

one of my friend told me to flash the software to nearest mobile repairing shop but i want to know that is any trick you guys have to fix this problem so that i can save my money?
when i checked the nokia website for the troubleshooting options on net,it shows and suggest for format the phone with * and 3 keys with pressing power button.

you guys are denius,kindly told me the trick so that i can fix the problem.

How do i turn off the power save. It;'s a lot easier to hit any key to get the phone to light up than to reach for the power button at night.

i am unable to open my nokia 3250"s contact folder . but when somebody calls,then it shows the name from contact.

when I tried to Sync with pc suite, the operation is failed and the phone shows message "App. closed: Main"

and the pc suite gives the message bellow
"PC Sync has encountered a problem and has terminated the synchronisation."

If I can't sync my contacts then I can't use the phone.

i have been using my nokia 3250 for the last 2 years.but the problem that i have been facing is with the incoming sms timings.whenever i receive local sms and i see the message details it is showing correct time.i mean at what time and date it was sent is being shown correctly.but when i receive sms from abroad the time shown in the details is not at all correct. in fact is showing some absurd timing and i am unable to get at what time the message was sent.is there any setting or solution to this problem?
