can anybody help me with the following questions:

1. when i convert my music from a cd to my phone the bitrate is only 89 kbps instead of the promised 160 kbps why is there a difference?

2. how can i convert a mix cd to my phone without small silent interruptions between every song?

1. it depends on what format/codec and settings you use to do the conversion.

2. make them one huge audio file with the silence edited out with your favourite audio/waveform file editor (Audacity or whatever).
