Has anyone else noticed how long it takes to fire up the gallery function on the N70?
Mine is a UK model from Orange and seems to take over a minute to load.
I wondered if a third party piece of software might do the job better?
Over a minute doesn't sound right.
On my phone it starts in a few seconds (and I have about 400 photos, maybe a couple of dozen MP3s).

Are you using the standard mem card? I found that my after market card slowed down opening of the gallery. I reformatted the card and it works fine now.

A minute does sound to long....
I mean, yes, mine does seem little slow, certainly slower than i'd like being ex windows and all... but you get used to it!
I'm using the supplied MC, but like Jimbob, will be getting a new one soon.
I just hope it doesn't slow down anymore, because like N/A, i will be loading it up tohe hilt!!!

Try taking the mem card out and opening the gallery, is it still slow?

My N70 performs badly slow in all the phone's feauters. Even after remove MC. If any 3rd party software can solve the problem pls let me know the details. I am ready to buy those. It is dosent matter that what is the cost . Because I am in deep truble with N70.

No, it's because that's the way Nokia did it. If you have a large amount of pictures it will be extremely slow. It's better to choose another 3rd party SW.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.08 (SmartPhone; Symbian OS-Series60/1.03) NetFront/3.2)
use resco photoviewer v4.3.10 ..it's much faster and has a decent slideshow facility.
