The thing I am most afraid of is that Nokia might choose to limit the usage of the Wireless LAN connection only to transfer music between the phone and a PC (maybe via a proprietary software) and not allow to use that interface for standard IP traffic like web browsing or email etc.

This sounds like a crazy idea but, after all, haven't they already crippled the Bluetooth interface to stop people from using it for web browsing in the latest phone models? So how can we rule out that they are not going to do the same with WiFi?

I think the chances of them adding 802.11B/G to the device then somehow limiting it's use if extremely unlikely.

Not sure how much the carriers will like it though due to the possibility of Skype use (Which is no way lines the pockets of the carriers) ;)

Still even with that said, i'm pretty certain, as with the 9500 that the Wireless capability of the phone will be fully functional. I'm just wondering how Nokia will integrate the network capability of the phone, as viewing the file structure on the 9500 via Wireless isn't an option without the addition of 3rd party software, one would imagine this a different case on the N91.

how exactly would the bluetooth interface be crippled? you mean you can't surf the net via bluetooth on a N70? don't scare me man, is that confirmed information?
thanks in advance

100% sure on the 6630 and 6680... and pretty sure it's like that on the N70 too.
