i brought my 3230 and was alttile disapointed when i found out:
1. i cant use a mp3 as a ringtone
2. this fone does NOT have 40 0r 48 chord ploytones!!!!! it sounds like nokia`s first ploytone mbiles, like the 3200 or 3100, with 4 chords!!!
iam a bit pissed off with it, but is it my firmware or just i got a crappy fone???

Are you sure your talking about a 3230? i have mp3's as ring tones on mine and the polyphonic sounds great.

Are you sure??? One of the things I love about this phone is how EASY it is to set an MP3 as a ringtone!! Im loving it after suffering SPV's for years and having to encode MP3s into different formats to get them as ringtones!

Well yeah, I have mp3 tones just fine. But I agree that polyphonic ring tones suck in this phone. It sounds like its playing in a tin can!

Open the mp3 file in the gallery, if it plays automatically, stop it. press options then there should be an option there to set it as a ring tone.

OOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! thanx man!!!! i take back all the bad things i said! 3230 is still good!!!
