On first glance, Handango are everywhere in the software market for Symbian OS smartphones (they even help out with the AAS Store (http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/shop/)). Ewan managed to catch up with their Vice President of Marketing, Clint Patterson, to find out more about Handango, what they do well, and where they think they could improve. Great Microsoft adverts below your review

Love the way you censor people's comments and love your Microsoft adverts. What a hypocritical site.
Comments are generally for people to discuss articles, not to look at a Google autoscript and try to draw false conclusions.

Sounds a bit strange to me!? I can see a number of fraudulent credit card purchases in our royalty reports - which are then always debited from our revenue of the next month.

The 40% comission is a ripoff. And the bullshit about how many things Handango does is absulutely ridiculous. We set up an own PayPal based shop on our own web site and now it does better than Handango. There is no comission and we haven't encountered any fraud till date. And the volume of the sales is almost the same. And the check payment of Handango sucks.

I agree, handango has turned into a monster. royalties for us have gradually decreased, not because of less sales, but because 40 and 50% of the sale goes into those greedy bastards pockets. they treat symbian like a red headed step child, and act like they are doing us a favor.
I agree with the comment on the returns, handango doesn't eat anything, they debit our account, and the cc company doesn't charge them a dime. Not to mention their customer service sucks, for both the developers and for paying customers. this guy's an idiot, but what do you expect from a group of guys out of texas

When Handango increased the comission to 40% we also opened our own webstore and it does quite well, sometimes we sell more of our products thru our own shop than Handango. And because of the lack of comission we can spend more money for marketing and we can keep the prices low. No need to be an economist to see that it's a much efficient approach. Sorry Clint Patterson now you receive less money from us because of your greediness. I guess no serious company will tolerate the 40% comission in the long run.
