Can somone tell me how to make an .mp3 fil as ringtone?

Put the MP3 file in c:\nokia\sounds\digital or e:\sounds\digital and select it using the Profiles app (or use Contacts, if you want it for a specific contact or group of contacts).

you need software called drmpackager_1_21.zip from here (http://developer.sonyericsson.com/getDocument.do?docId=65056) you must register to access it.
it will ask silly questions like business name and type, (put anything you want)
once d/loaded, install to your PC and start the program, locate the MP3 you want as a ringtone and click on the button create DRM content.

it is easier to put the MP3 to convert on your desktop first as when it converts it it puts it in a folder called DRM.

copy that file to your phone any folder will do (i think) then select it in profiles/ringtone :)

Doesnt it depend on the phone and then network restrictions as to wether you need to use the DRM packager?
I use the DRM packager to put mp3 tones on my SE V800 branded with vodafone firmware but didnt realise you need it for any Nokia?
I guess if the Nokia is locked to the Vodafone network then they may of done their allfull restrictions too!!!!!

hi,to use your mp3 on vodafone phones,you must convert them in mp4 ,i use namo encoder and it s perfect :)
