Hoping someone can make sense of the following....

In my 5mx I had several "data" files (never did make the change to Contacts!) one for Business, one for personal etc. Have (manually) copied (is their an automated way that does not screw up the fields?) some of these to Contacts in my 9500, I note that every single contact (even those in different files) apear on the telephone (front) when scrolling through names.

I often put people in the database I have met at conferences etc, but the chances of me phoning them in the next 2 years is remote but do need to carry their data with me.

Am I correct in assuming I need to use a stand alone database programme to store these "occasional" contacts and "cut & paste" the telphone number / email address shoud I ever need them?

If so, what is a good dbase prog for the 9500?

I am not an Outlook user so can't use as an intermediate step!

TIA
Dave

Powerdata by Epocware is a good choice as there's no free form DATA on the 9500.

Thanks Ewan - looks a good programme - may take a while to get sorted though!

Just buy the Memory card (if you don't have it). Then you can have as much secondary contacts databases as you wish. That's exactly what you need.

I have tried that but it still shows up in the telephone list - this still seems to make the entries appear on the front of the phone! Have I done something wrong?
