I don't think 2GB MMCs are available on the market, yet.

Surely not? I have just accessed the ATP Website, and they only mention 2Gb SD cards.

Whooaaaa...
----
Capacity 2GB
SKU AF2GMM
Price: $363.98
----

That's 188, which is almost 2.8 times the price of my 1GB card (68 delivered). I think I'll stick with my 1GB card and "economise" on my 1GB ;-)

I do want to know if they're compatible tho. :-)

I used a 2gb card and it worked part of the time but not all and sometimes locked up. You say the Kingston Card works for everything and no problems??? If so where do you get that particular card please???? Is it just kingston 2mb mmc card????
Thanks,
Bobby

According to another Tech forum Nokia tested and verified operation of the 9500 up to 2 GB MMC cards.

The 9300 by comparison has only functioned with MMC cards up to 1 GB. I use a SanDisk brand 1 GB RS-MMC with my 9300.

The problems experienced with card functionality could be from one or more of the following:

1. Improper formatting--it is best to format the card insitu on the 9300/9500.

2. Incomplete seating of the battery compartment door--the 9300/9500 are designed to shut down the MMC cards whenever the door is removed to prevent data corruption. The switch is just left above the battery in a recessed hole.

3. Bogus MMC cards  --there are many reports of unscrupulous sellers of counterfeit MMC cards, especially over the internet. For more information on how to identify counterfeit cards search for "How-too-avoid-Counterfeit-Memory-Cards" on ebay

The counterfeit cards often will work in a PC but not work in mobile devices which have tighter voltage and operational constraints.

I hope that this helps.
