Just got a nokia 6260 but im having problems connecting it via IR.

I have a Sitecom CN-100 ir adaptor on my pc which works fine with other phones and it almost works with this one. I turn on the ir on the phone and point it at the adapter. The icon on the phone goes steady and the pc pops up that i can send files to the 6260. Then within a second the icon on the phone starts flashing again and the connection is lost.

Is this a known problem or just with me?

if ur sending image from ur phone, u just need to plug the usb ir and point it to the ir port of the phone..then u can just click "send image as" (infrared) and it'll be sent. u doesn't necessarily need to turn the ir on from the main menu. however, if u will send files from ur pc to ur phone it should be turned on. i'm using usb ir adapter from BAFO tech..xxx

Yes it is true, 6260 has some IR issues with other mobile phones too. For instance, I tried sending a file through IR to a Sony Ericcson 500i mobile, I could send one file and when I try for the second..........................NO GO
