My SPV C500 (lovely Phone) has given up the ghost just 2 weeks after purchase due to a broken LCD :( so I've chosen a Sendo X as a replacement.

It's bigger but lighter.

Not sure about the OS yet cause i'm used to MS Smartphone 2k3 but hopefully i'll get used to it.

The keypad is'nt the best design as its awkward in the sense that I keep pressing exit instead if right joypad!

A Quick Question. Is there any way to remove the Now! screen as I wish to have just wallpaper as a background. Also whats the best size format to save backgrounds to make them the largest visible on the phone as I've saved some at 176x146 24/16 million colours but they seem compressed and a poor resolution?

Wallpaper-Now!-Screen: 176 x 144 (I have measured it out of a screenshot)
Yes, I also touch the red button by clicking right, sometimes.
Yes, the colors are poor. But like written in other thread, that will be improved...

I don't think that you can take away Now!, but you can make the Now!-Screen clear (empty), if you want and only set a wallpaper like you want.

You cannot remove the Now screen but you can create a new pane (which will be empty on creation) and set it as the default pane.

You could then set whatever you choose as the wallpaper for that pane.

One other thing - currently Now! re-formats backgrounds to be 256 colours (they may change this in the future), but it does it to improve speed, so I suggest you optimise your background for a 8 bit (256 colours) pallet.

Cheers Stu i'll try some 256 images cause the others at 16/32 looks rubbish. I hope they do change it though. it would be nice to see/use the colours the phone has been enabled to display
