Hello everybody,

I would like to ask you a simple question. As far as it is possible to allot a ringtone to a contact. Is there any software that allow to do this with the sms ?

I receive email notification by sms from my provider and i would like the phone to ring in a different way for this kind of sms.

I did a search but did not find any answer...

There is no built-in capability in the phone to do so. I don't know if there are any applications that allow that, but look around here:

I have noticed that it was not possible with the original symbian OS ;-)

it seems like the API related to (sms) ringtone or calls is a little different in Symbian7 when comparing to Symbian6 ..

anyway, until now I haven't seen an app that deals ok with sms ringtone as you may have read on the other thread I posted the link.. :frown:
