wht the main differnce between vga and megapixel

i just have find the diff of size.
vga get 640 x860 and megapixel get 1100 something like that.

wht are the difference.

It's all about pixels

VGA: 640x480 = 307,200 pixels
1MP: 1152x864 = 995,328 pixels (just below 1 Million Pixels)

My sister's 3.2MP = 2048x1536 = 3,145,728 Pixels

You'll see that all the Mega Pixel cameras are just a tad below what they claim to be. And yea ... a Mega Pixel is just One Million Pixels
