Since many of us are finding it difficult if not impossible to connect with GPRS, can anyone tell me is it possible without this to download Polyphonic Ringtones to the Nokia 6600?
I can connect with Bluetooth so I can upload tunes to the Nokia but I have no idea where and how to do this!
Any help would be appreciated!

The 6600 supports normal midi-files, you can use the file transfer functions of the PC suite to upload them to your phone via bluetooth or IR.

Ok thanks, does it matter where you save them?
I have a file in MMF format that I downloaded from a site. It's meant to be a Polyphonic Ringtone.
Can this be used or must it be a Midi File.
Don't know much about this subject so any guidance / help would be appreciated!

I put my midi-files in the Soundclips/Digital sounds - folder on the MMC and the profile manager found them without problem when I changed the ringtone. It even puts an icon next to the sounds that are on the MMC.
I haven't tried to use MMF-files yet, only .mid-files. I guess you'll just have to upload a few to your phone and see if it will accept them.
