When the new version of the software will be released (rumourus v3.15),what would the upgrade procedure be like,could it be done by a regular user or it has to be done by nokia service people?

and... moreover, I think there will be few (if any) LOCAL service points able to do that, like with 9210(i) :evil:

I don't know about your countries, but here in Finland it's pretty easy to find a local service point to get your phone updated.

Of course there's the bother of taking your phone there which is enough for me to get annoyed. I just wish someday we can upudate these phones like Windows Update on PCs.

uhm... here it's "almost" easy to have any other phone "flashed", but there are only 2 centres for all Italy that "flash" 9210s, so I think it will be the same wit 7650 :evil:

it ideally avaliable island wide in SG :D

In England we have only 1 place to do it, and you have to mail your phone away and do without it for up to 2 weeks. Needless to say I've never updated the firmware on my 9210.
