Thanks,

1) will the p800 work with a Mac g3/500 power book with OS 10.2 (jaguar)
2) will the p800 blue tooth work with isync on the Mac for Bluetooth
3) will MS word attachments be able to be opened AND sent on the p800?
4) will the p800 work with MS OFFICE for Mac X with entourage as email client?
5) Most importantly, will I be able to play video clips made in mini dv in
I movie or Final cut pro on this phone? I want to be able to play clips of client testimonials!

Thank you for your valuable time

Respectfully,

1) Don't think that any Mac Sync software is supplied with it. 3rd party would be ok I guess
2) With a ISync BT Client on the P800. Does such exist!?
3) You can receive, and view, you can forward the document, but you can not edit it.
4) not sure
5) I think the P800 support mpeg4 , and if you can produce videos in this format it would be ok.

Right, I'll take thiswith a huge pinch of salt (think a Tonka Truck load) until you can back this up and prove info on Mac Support and Covnersion for the P800, rather than a wooly, it supports PPP so it must be able to.

Call me a cynic...

Which devices the iSync client will be available for. Just that it will be available in some form. There are some sync capability with T68s and Bluetooth, but not sure if the same thing exist for the P800. That is why you can not be sure until it is specified to be supported for the P800.

p800 is also based on SyncML, just like t68i and iSync

Well.. Depends on how the SyncML implementation is done on the P800 does n't it!? And I can say that the T68 and P800 implementations of SyncML is rather different. But ofcourse you can always sync over the net.

No specific mention of the P800 (or any other Symbian device). The phones there all run propriety s/w from SonyEricsson. If it happens on the P800, then great, but until confirmation of it working from a TECHNICAL department (and not some arty PR fluff) then I'll remain Mr Chris Yavin Nical.

Thanks all...we are getting there...I emailed the tech dept. of course...(CSR's know nothing) but who knows when they will answer.

to summerize what seems like the best guesses so far:

1) does work with Jaguar for Mac.
2) does have syncml but we dont know if it works for isync
3) does open and can read word attachments but not edit
4) dont know about entourage X for mac as email client
5) May work with mpeg4 which quicktime 6 MAY Support

Any one know for sure? Also:

PRICE?

ETA?

Keep those best guesses coming...we are getting closer....
