Symantec has become a Symbian Platinum Partner, which means that it will be working closer with Symbian in developing more integrated security solutuions for future SymbianOS phones.

Steve Cullen, senior Vice President of Symantec Consumer and Client Product Delivery (wow! How long is his desk!?) said; "Research has shown that fears about wireless security are a chief deterrent to the widespread adoption of mobile computing devices. Symantec is the clear leader in the Internet security space, protecting more than 100 million users worldwide.
