Part of the OPL Project is a developer competition. This page gives you an outline of the competition, the categories and the prizes available as well as listing the sponsors of the competition.

The competition is designed to allow anyone to enter and have a chance of winning a prize. We want as many people as possible to develop a program, and everyone has a chance to win. Further details of judging and the judgment criteria will be announced in due course. Multiple entries by the same person are encouraged. If you are intending to emter or think you may enter please fill in the expression of interest form so we can gauge interest.

Categories
The categories will include, but are not limited too:

• Best Program from a programming novice
• Best Program from a Symbian programming novice
• Best program from an established Symbian developer
• Wow! Award for technical merit

Prize Pool
Below are the name of the programs in the prize pool, each program listed represent at least one copy or registration available as a prize. All About Symbian would like to thank the sponsors of the competition (listed below) for providing these prizes. The total value of the prize pool is $3,200. There are 185 registrations available as prizes. Depending on the number of entries we hope most of those whom enter will receive a prize.
