Ok, maybe not John Kettley per se, but AccuWeather (http://www.accuweather.com), who provide detailed weather information to those who want more than seaweed in the back yard accuracy, is to develop, along with Summus (http://www.summus.com), a wireless weather application offering access to radar maps and images with enhanced up-to-the-minute weather reports.


The AccuWeather.com application will be built on QUALCOMM's BREW(TM) platform and will be available by early Q2 of 2003 to mobile carriers that support BREW. The application will also be built to run on J2ME and Symbian platforms and available to carriers supporting these platforms.
