View Full Version : Bluetooth Headset Concept 04-03-2003, 01:28 PM http://www.bill-bennett.fsworld.co.uk/temporary-files/7650bluetooth.GIF what does anyone think? should company make this? 04-03-2003, 01:51 PM what a waste. if your (cough cough) company makes the attachment to the phone seamlessly, i must raise some hats for you. Because without duct tape or super-clue it cant be done. You think the stereo-jack is holding it? Just look at the phone before considering this kinda shoit. But for the idea = thumbs up. Just realize it cant be done without a packbag full of stuff to enable that "forgotten" audio bt + battery coverage. 8) Bob 04-03-2003, 02:47 PM This is the idea already implemented by companies like Plantronics for their BT adapters for non-BT phones (in a slightly different way). These devices are licenced in some countries, but not the UK, you can buy the adapter in the US, but cannot get one shipped to the UK. It is indeed an excellent idea. Mr Bluetooth - as this device already exists, it already overcomes the forgotten" audio bt + battery coverage issue. :D mattw 04-03-2003, 05:28 PM is the jack plug on the top just a standard audio output then? or is it more complicated than that Doc 04-03-2003, 07:45 PM I don't think so mattw I've been following the Jabra headset. They have a 2.5mm adaptor for their headset, but are developing one specifically for Nokia. Good news is that they are planning to launch soon in UK. Check link to this forum for more details http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=22658&highlight=#22658 This is the link for the headset http://www.jabra.com/Products/Europe/JABRA_BT200.html Check the specs for the headset for non bluetooth phones Doc 04-03-2003, 07:51 PM Just realize it cant be done without a packbag full of stuff to enable that "forgotten" audio bt + battery coverage. 8) You're right about the battery coverage the adaptor has own battery, but adaptor doubles as stand for headset so they don't need a packbag for the BT audio bit. Unfortunately it is too big though to just clip on phone as suggested Is there anybody out there that can answer the following question? Is the 7650's inability to use Audio BT a hardware or software issue? FOX HOUND 05-03-2003, 05:27 AM i think it's a software issue Bob 05-03-2003, 08:48 AM I heard that it was a software issue also. Cannot confirm my source though!!! B liverpool lad 05-03-2003, 09:42 AM I remember seeing a thread about f/w 4.39, some reference to BT, but it didn't suggest we'd get audio BT (even my old Ericsson T39 has audio BT!) What ARE they waiting for?? Paul p51 05-03-2003, 09:48 AM the idea illustrated at the top could be furthur attatched/secured to the phone by integrating it with the SIM card cover. just an idea. |
