There are some really nice database applications out there at the moment.

As a regular user of SmallBase and PowerData (they offer different features that are good for different requirements), I appreciate the work that people put into reports, coloured records and so on.

But one thing that I really, really, really, really miss from my old Psion Data application is the ability to embed objects into a record.

I know I can point to files in Smallbase and almost all database apps allow for memo fields, but what about embedding? This is something that EPOC has been good at since (as far as I can remember) the Series 5 and the ability is there for Calendar entries.

So, what are the chances of getting this? I sure as hell can't code it, but is there anybody out there who can...... <I>please</I>?

The latest version of Power Data has this feature. An embedded file field! Clicking on the embedded file field (Word, Sheet, Presentation, JPG, Recorder file automatically opens up in that application). It's also an easy way to password protect those files too if you want.
