View Full Version : How important are games?

Visiting other technologies' websites, I find discussions on which games should be released (they had to fake a Doom screenshot and were less than pleased to see an actual screenshot of Doom on a 9210 /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif )

While games are nice (I'm addicted to Triplepop and Bounce - and can't wait for Soccer), are they important to (a) the market and (b) to you?

The 9200 series is packed with professional tools for professional people, which means that if we have a spare moment, we can do professional things (check/write e-mail, work on documents and spreadsheets etc)

I suppose that what I'm asking is; did games clinch the 9210 for you?

Games are good cos being a student I have many spare moments but still don't play them a lot.
I'm thinking that something like the 7650 will shift more units if you can download games, and it will definately be a big thought when there is a 3xxx series smartfphone.

I have almost all the games available for the 9210... to tell u the truth, i havent played much any of them... but it's pretty handy when your loved ones feeling bored!!! They just love to play around with it... especially the well known addictive game... BOUNCE...

Midlets are interesting little fellas. I've run a few of them and they're not as slow as the anti-JAVA (Micro$oft) brigade would suggest (though they're not currently a viable platform for the 9210 version of Half Life /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif )

Apart from the IM application (that I cannot get to work), I've not had too much trouble finding a use for them.
