Si Brindley has spotted that there's a (hidden) new version of Nokia Multimedia Transfer that works with Apple's new Leopard on the Mac. You have to use the exact URL though. There are new features, too - customizable transcoding settings and the option to transcode all files if so desired.

Read on in the full article (http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/item/6171_Nokia_Music_Transfer_now_works.php).

Can you be more specific? Were you able to download it? If so, did it give an error message? If not, what does the log say in the Console application?

The app downloads but then clicking on it in Leopard does absolutely nothing. I can see it in my finder 'downloads' folder but nothing occurs when clicking on the icon. I click on it and it says, 'are you sure you want to open this app' and then nothing.

For those who are still unable to run the new version, my guess is that you still have the old version on your system. I recommend using AppZapper to ensure you've removed all traces of version 1.1 beta.

Download the 1.2 version and move it to your Applications folder. Make sure it is definitely the right version by Ctrl-Clicking on it and selecting "Get Info". The Version information should read: "Nokia Multimedia Transfer 1.2"

If it still doesn't run, then launch Console.app and check under LOG FILES. The program seems to create three logs:

- Nokia Multimedia Transfer Setup.log,
- Nokia Multimedia Transfer Watchdog.log, and
- Nokia Multimedia Transfer.log

There might be some clues there as to why it doesn't run on your system.

Failing all this: I guess there's a reason why they haven't announced it yet. Works great for me though ;)
