Purely gratuitous, but it's the weekend. It's amazing what a difference a theme can make. And I've fallen in love (despite my preference for white themes) with the next gen N95 8GB black theme and wondered how it would look on my E90. Pretty darned sexy is the answer - or at least, as sexy as it's possible for the E90 to get! Photo below.

Ya know, it would be nearly sensable for Nokia to come out with a replacement to the E90 that does have an 8GB set of clothes. I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled off a 4GB and 8GB just to keep the E-series "business look" going.

Seeing that theme indeed gives something to chew on...

Unless there are some serious new features as well, I cant see the purpose of a 4 or 8gb E90. 4GB cards are so cheap now, and the 8GB is just around the corner. I think it behooves a business device to have hot swappable memory cards instead of one lump of non-removable memory.

I don't see the "instead of" here.

I donīt trust HDDīs either.. yet.
Imagine while on a business trip the HDD froze? All your data lost or locked-up! Itīs happened to me with an mp-3 player. And If my (now retired..) 9300i had HDD I wouldīve had 10 heart attacks by now!

3rd party apps are the biggest risk. SmartMovie and TomTom Mobile 5 froze me out from time to time. Restarts worked but once I had to restore from card. What a relief!

I say, "A backup on the card is worth two in HDD." ;-)

"I don´t trust HDD´s either.. yet."

Apparently a lot of people bought Psion devices precisely because they were the only portable computers without HDDs or floppy drives. No moving parts means much less risk of data loss while you're out and about.
