Hello, I bought a proper Tomtom Bluetooth GPS thing off ebay recently, and although the TomTom software is installed OK, and although my mobile can paid with the bluetooth GPS no probs, the GPS simply won't pick up any GPS signal. The light that indicates this fails to come on, and the Tomtom software says "no GPS signal". Before I send it back to the seller on ebay, has anyone else had a similar problem, and know of something I could try?

Thanks

Does the green light flash on the TomTom reciever? The green light remains on when it hasnt picked up a GPS signal and flashes when it does. The GPS signal can vary in time to pick up a signal (2-15min).

As VJ_UK says, the light should flash. If the light's not coming on at all, try charging it. Although you would get no GPS device, rather than no signal if that was the case.
Have you tried looking at the GPS status within TomTom, to see if it's getting any signal at all, even with one satellite?
Make sure you're also trying to get a fix in somewhere 'simple' i.e. in the open air, without too many tall buildings in the way, also some car windscreens can upset them. Although I've not had any problems with mine.
