I'm extremely pleased to have the official update finally available, I'll be trying it out as soon as I have a data cable to hand!

Can everyone post their successes/failures with the official upgrade? I'd be intrigued to know if my 3 branded N80 has software available yet..

I've done the upgrade using the NSU and it worked.

The problem came afterwards.. I couldn't restore the backup I made through the phone and I'm now installin everything again. Sheet!!

Unforunately this is a common and well know issue with Firmware updrades.

You should not use Backup but instead use PC Suite Synchronise function before and after a FW upgrade.

I want to do an update but based on my previous experiences, restoring from my back doesn't work very well so I might as well re-installing everything from scratch since my phone already running slow from junk files from past installs.

My problem is I can't get my phone to synch using the PC suite. I want to make sure I can get my contacts back after the update. Is there a way to save the contacts aside from synching?
