I know this question is too old..but i couldn't find an answer when i searched!!
for those who do not understand me, i mean i want to display the sender's name of the SMSs as "First Name Last Name" ..instead of the default, "Last..Fir" ..anybody knows the solution ??!:con?

yup.... you need to have the entire name in the first name field...

so instead of

first name : John
last name : Smith

you have

first name : John Smith
last name : (blank)


Bit of a pain, but thats the only way I have it working.

Beg to differ there Kontraband. Go to Contacts > Options > Settings > Name Display and change to "First nm. Last nm".

unfortunately, that's only for the Contacts List...in SMS Inbox, it's still last name first name.

At least in my n80ie, that's the case...and it's been driving me nuts.

This annoys me as well!

It seems to be arranged properly when sending texts but if i then recieve a reply to the text it displays it last name - first name!

It bugged the hell out of me this reverse naming convention for SMS... I think Ive changed 'most' of the people that SMS me now to have their full name in first name...

just another annoying bug that doesnt affect the overall perfomance of the N80 for me.

i hope somebody find a permanent solution..i aint gnna put full names into "first name" field . .i hope its fixed in the new fw too.
