View Full Version : In the UK on 21st March... jw 17-02-2007, 01:31 AM ... according to Expansys :) http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=141579 Laurence 17-02-2007, 12:50 PM Yep, for £629.95 :o Anyone found a better price? N/A 17-02-2007, 02:37 PM How many times in the past has Expansys quoted some day in the future for the availability of a new device, and been wrong (and changed it when the day has come and gone)? Not expecting an answer, but over the last several years I remember many, many enthusiastic posts of people repeating Expansys dates and then being disappointed when that didn't actually happen. Of course, it doesn't mean it is so this time, too, but it could be. ;) jw 17-02-2007, 05:43 PM You're probably right N/A, as checking today the date has gone down to 20th March. At least the date change brings it nearer to launch, not further away! :) But this time Expansys have publicly said in their forum that Nokia have told them to expect delivery on the 19th (so as to dispatch on the 20th, I presume). I think that previously (like with the Nokia 3650 fiasco) they were just guessing at a date. Still, I wonder how many they'll sell at that price?! Of course, it doesn't mean it is so this time, too, but it could be. ;) Well they did supply my N93 when they said they would & that was a pre-order. So maybe your theory isn't so sound. N/A 17-02-2007, 07:37 PM It is not my theory. It is just remembering many posts here and elsewhere of Expansys taking pre-orders or recently announced devices, and availablity dates for them that turned out to be not exactly accurate. I'm not saying that they're always wrong, but that Expansys doesn't always know what they're advertising, either. timbian 18-02-2007, 07:58 PM £629.95, What are they thinking? When I first started reading up on the '95 It was expected the price was going to be around 500Euros, but this is almost twice that. If this is the case I might just stick with my 7710 & TomTom. This is most dissapointing news especially after waiting 3 months since my contract ran out. "Hello. Nokia," there are other GPS/smartphones out there. Have we all cut are own throats by showing so much interest in this phone? Janddi 20-02-2007, 07:23 PM "Hello. Nokia," there are other GPS/smartphones out there. Have we all cut are own throats by showing so much interest in this phone? Hmmm. I was wondering the same thing:con? Biggzy 20-02-2007, 08:11 PM called voda uk today, they have n95 due on 2nd april, no contract prices as of yet but for the handset only price is...... an amazing £350, i askd him to double check the price and the guy said yep, its £350 for the handset only, no contract just the handset, the n80 was £400 from them and n73 was £350 so its a v good price, the best so far, and the first batch shud be unlockd/unbranded like my n73 and n80 was from them, altho if it is locked to voda its £20 to get the unlock code, it takes 1 - 6 weeks for them to get it, not a bad price. timbian 21-02-2007, 08:38 PM This is really good news! :) Super Chimp 22-02-2007, 09:56 AM called voda uk today, they have n95 due on 2nd april, no contract prices as of yet but for the handset only price is...... an amazing £350, i askd him to double check the price and the guy said yep, its £350 for the handset only, no contract just the handset, the n80 was £400 from them and n73 was £350 so its a v good price, the best so far, and the first batch shud be unlockd/unbranded like my n73 and n80 was from them, altho if it is locked to voda its £20 to get the unlock code, it takes 1 - 6 weeks for them to get it, not a bad price. It seems likely it will be Voda branded. Mind you I managed to get hold of an un-branded N73 when the first batch of those phones came in. pacepowerskill 22-02-2007, 10:25 AM THIS BAD BOY IS OUT TODAY!!! Expansys is not exactly a quotable source. They lie all the time to get "pre-orders", whatever that means. trqs81 16-03-2007, 03:46 PM £499.99 http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/3326044/-/Product.html?searchstring=n95&searchsource=0 bullroar 27-03-2007, 07:50 PM Maybe we are due a price war: http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/12703.htm stuclark 29-03-2007, 10:27 AM Expansys are getting stock tomorrow (Friday 30th March), but these are being taken up with pre-orders. Drofidnas 29-03-2007, 02:44 PM O2 have them in on 2nd April. No prices yet but guy reckoned a one-off of £89.99 would be near the mark, providing you have a £35 monthly tariff. |
