In another AAS exclusive(!), Steve Litchfield reviews Nokia's DT-22 tripod for the video-recording N93. Summary: it's tiny but well made, and it's best feature is that, like the starship Enterprise, it separates so that you can use the top half on its own.

I see it can be used with every cameraphone on the market. Just tighten the screw and its mounted :)

Well, I suppose so, but all the hassle and expense of a tripod doesn't make a lot of sense when you're only shooting 352 by 288 (or even 176 by 144) pixels at 15 frames per second. With the N93's 640 by 480 by 30 fps and subsequent clarity, it makes a huge difference.

Sometimes tripod for still images is also necessary ;)
And I bet that Nokia N95 will fit in that "jaws"...

I suppose though that making it work with any phone model means that people can use the same tripod with future DVD-standard camcorder phones, not just the N93. It also saves Nokia production costs if they can sell the same tripod for all their models.

Regarding pricing...Swedish katshing.se (excellent on-line mobile store btw) has it listed for 213kr, which equals about £16 or $30. Yet no info on when it will be available, though, but I want one!
