View Full Version : WOW!!! Clear LOADS of mem!
Zipper 14-12-2002, 01:42 AM Well I found a 'log' file to do with MMS's ... 672kb in the USER memory [shock horror :o ] called mmss.txt ... I had just uninstall SeleQ and installed FExlporer and was trying it out [smaller, better free'er] And was sifting thru thinkin - that went ages ago, sorta cleaning up - and i went from 600kb free to 1.4mb!!!! And thats not deletin any apps! wow! Thats over double - anyway this was biggest single file!!! Seek and destroy is what I say! [Woohoo 600kb to 1.4mb]

I wud av put it if i rememberd it sorry - i think it was two files deep from C: IE C\LOGS\MMS [That MIGHT have been it] Its a .txt so u can searh

670kb of .txt file would be big enough to accomodate a encycloepedia. May be zipper was having a unnaturally high usage of phone that bloated the log to those figures. or..well.. 8) .
I should admit i have'nt tried finding it though, since i dont have my phone with me (NSC) :-?

Its a .txt - Search for *.txt - called MMSS - I think its in C\log\[something] --- Dont know for sure
And BTW i send TONS of MMS

me ive got 3.12 and could not find this file also...
Maybe it is Version-related...

Could be that they have left some debug code in v4.36. That could be a pain as I notice it produced that much data in 7 days.
Anyone else with 4.36 get it??

@ Guest: then it's deffintley version related, you can see the size of the file if you go to its properties.

If you have a c:\logs dir just delete it. It's shouldn't be there normally - it's used in debug ROM builds to create logs for different components, you won't get any problems, and you won't have logs taking up space on your phone then!
