Queux 13-12-2002, 04:51 PM HI.
Would it be possible to change the bluetooth components in the N7650 and put a bluetooth comonents from a N3650?
/Queux
GhostDog 13-12-2002, 04:55 PM You are talking about hardware modifications here,i'm no hardware guru but my guess is no because we have had similar discussion about switching the memory chip with a higher capacity one.
Hankman 13-12-2002, 07:21 PM Why would you want to do it? Is there a difference between the 2?
JyriK 13-12-2002, 08:43 PM I think he was aiming for BT audio profile :D
Orophin Anwarunya 13-12-2002, 08:48 PM I think he was aiming for BT audio profile :D

Zipper 13-12-2002, 10:03 PM If you want bluetooth audio profile then just use the Motorola bluetooth headset... They work great, ive used one and its so much easier than wires around the place!

Yeah! ... Im surprised everyone is surprised!
sanjay2402 14-12-2002, 05:49 PM The surprise of members reminds me of this pic. (This actually is from another post, but i liked it so much i downloaded it to my pc :D )
GhostDog 15-12-2002, 01:39 AM One more thing.I've read a review about the motorola bluetooth headset and there was a line of text there that sounded really strange.
Here goes: The Motorola Bluetooth headset is adjustable to all bluetooth phones"
What do they mean by all? Do all phones support bluetooth audio? Is there other device (but the 7650) that does not support the bluetooth audio profile?
wahchild 15-12-2002, 01:54 AM Bluetooth audio is just another protocol - when it comes down to it you're just shifting data across radio frequencies - the problem is that the phone has to 'understand' what that data is and act on it accordingly hence the audio protocol as compared to data(files) protocol.
If this headset does work with the 7650 is must mean one of two things:
1. Nokia lied when it said there is no audio profile in the phone (though why would they do that? - they would limit the market interested in the phone fo no good reason)
2. You get some software with the headset that you install on the phone - this would allow the phone to 'understand' bluetooth data as voice - though this doesn't sound like the case from what you say Zipper.
So I'm confused...
GhostDog 15-12-2002, 02:22 AM They say it works with all bluetooth phones,so the device must use some standard protocol (like bluetooth audio).I'm sure that motorola has not writen some sort of device drivers for every bluetooth phone. That would be too much.It would be easy if they could write generic ones,i dont think that is posible because of the many software platforms.
sigmacom 15-12-2002, 03:46 AM Well? Anyone tried this Motorola headset yet? (except Zipper) :o
