Hi,

I'm really sorry if this has been answered before but...

I've just got my N80 and everything works great, except that when i try to receive my emails from Wanadoo (now orange), it just times out.

I've copied all the information straight from outlook so i can't understand why it won't work. :con?

Can somebody please explain why it won't work and/or give me the settings.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, didn't realize that existed, but I'm afraid that the problem remains, it still keeps timing out.

Any more suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks

Perhaps Wandoo servers have been renamed to Orange....?

Try editing the incoming email settings and change the server name to pop.orange.net

MESSAGES -> OPTIONS -> SETTINGS -> EMAIL -> MAILBOXES -> mailboxname -> Connection Settings -> Incoming e-mail -> Incoming Mail Server -> pop.orange.net

You might also need to change the Access point in use value to 'Orange GPRS' or 'Orange Internet'

Hope this helps

Changed the server name and get the same problem, changed the name of the access point to both 'orange gprs' and 'orange internet' and still got the same problem.

any other ideas?

How are you trying to retrieve the emails? Using GPRS?

I bet if you tried Wifi it would work. I can't pick up any emails with O2 GPRS

What network are you on?

Change the incoming mail server to use 3-Internet connection instead of GPRS.
