Following the release of Search, thanks to Daniel for pointing us towards Nokia's release of a new WLAN Wizard for S60 3rd Edition. Although it doesn't do much more than the WLAN bit of the existing Connection Manager, it has a shortcut through to Web and so should help new users get online through Wi-Fi more quickly.
Read on in the full article (http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/item/4500_New_WLAN_Wizard.php).

I think the biggest reason to use this app would be it's use of phone's idle screen to show available WLANs. Something S60 should of course have built-in..
What is the idle screen? I've installed this app on my E61 but i don't quite understand what it's supposed to do. It sees my home wifi network but it doesn't display anyhting neither on the Active Stanby screen not on the screensaver.
As far as i can see, the only difference between this app and the built-in Connectivity application is that it lets you launch the web browser. But then, it doesn't allow you to choose which web browser you want to use. It always launches Web even though i've got Opera Mobile installed.
