hi there,
I started to have a weird problem with my N70 ..

when I open an SMS message , I get horizontal white lines on the screen, the it becomes all white, then it fades and closes , I get the nokia logo at the bottom of the screen as if it was restarting , then it restarts and works normally ( without asking for the pin code) ..

as you can see from the problem I can't view any sms message, I can only read the first part that it shown in the inbox (without opening the message) ..

I tried updating the firmware .. so now the firmware version is ( V 5.0616.2.0.3 24-04-06 RM-84 ) but I still have the same problem ..

any help regarding this problem will be appreciated ..

Do You have any third theme on? If Yes, change for a defaukt one and try again.

I'm using the default theme, after I've read ur post I tried changing the theme to "Theme1" but still the same problem..

Is there anyway that this problem is caused from a hardware error .. Because the phone fell on the ground more than once ..

Could be... After firmware upgrade You install any software?

Low on RAM? Corrupted message? Pull out MMC and boot phone with Safe Mode.

nj7 ,, No , the first thing I did after upgrading is send a test msg and try to open it, this problem is the reason I made the upgrade in the first place ..

I tried removing the memory card and checking but the same thing happened.
can you tell me how can I check the ram ? and how can I boot in safe mode ?
