When I browse the web on my E61 I can get to the 1st or sometimes 2nd page of whatever site i'm accessing, but then usually it just says 'connecting to server' (Opera browser) and hangs there. After a a couple of mintes it disconnects.

Same thing happens in both Opera or the default browser.

The problem only occurs using my wireless router, over GPRS web browsing works fine.

My router connection is fine for desktop browsing and also using my laptop via wi-fi, so i'm sure there's no problem with the router.

The E61 sees and uses the wi-fi router connection just fine for email, and also for the first one or two pages of web browsing, it just seems to screw up after that.

I've tried a master reset on my E61 and set up all the conenctions again, but the same thing happens.

Can anybody help please.

Can the router produce a useful log ? any info there ?

If the wireless connection is very bad, the router may kick off the client (E61) after a retry threshold has been exceeded.

Disable Bluetooth as well, it operates at the same frequency as 802.11b/g WiFi and often causes disruption.

Thanks for the reply Michael, but I switched off Bluetooth, made no difference.
Also, there doesn't appear to be any router log other than an admin one for security.

Its really strange, I can get to any site quickly by just typing the URL, its only when I click a link within the page, that the connection usually, but not always, fails.

With 2 differents 3com wlan routers I also have troubles, I can navigate perfectly with my laptop but when I use the phone for some strange reason the router locks up and stop working i have to go an reset so i can navigate again, this is not every time i use my E61 but i saw that 3com routers cant handle the packets or something strange happens

Have you tried disabling power saving on the E61 (Settings->Connections->WirelessLAN->Options->Advanced Settings->Power Saving)?

This can also happen because of the packet size. I this is caused MTU - it use to be a common problem with ADSL connections. You might try changing the MTU in your router setup.

Of course no guarantees, espcially as you got it working with other stuff.
