Is it safe to use nokia car charger? Since the car charger is using electricity from the car battery; not common electricity such as from a power socket.

Will it shorten the life of my battery if I use the nokia car charger often?

Is not so good to charge like a Home charger. A car produces alternate corrent, with pick corrent not exactly the same. A battery could be damaged by that, and life became shorter. Use only for emergency and not for usual use.

Noted, use it as emergency only...

If the Nokia car charger (like the AC adapter) provides the correct voltage then there is no difference.
