Could anyone help me whre I could find an applet to increase the speakerphone volume !!! I used the new Nokia 6610/7210 and the vol is superb!!!

The default ringtones etc are not at full volume. unfortunately they are in the z (rom) drive so that cannot be changed. When you upload mini and wav files to your phone use maximum volume and you will see that they are quite loud too!

Is there any sw to beef it up ????

there is this appl called ringtone studio and you can actually increase the volume of your ringtone but that's it! you can not increase the speaker volume with this appl.

You can increase your speaker phone volume with a "trick" figured out by TANKERx.

First make a voice tag for a contact, then on the regular screen (where your wall paper shows) hold the speaker phone button, it will prompt you to say a voice tag (for voice dial) so you say ANYTHING as long as it's not the voice tag you recorded, and then it will say that no contact has been founded or something like that. Then viola! try your speaker phone (when calling) and it would be significantley louder.

It has been said that the speaker phone is fixed in the newer versions, and that this trick only works on 3.12, but i haven't tried on 3.16 or newer. And i can't see this affecting the ringing volume.

PS: the trick will wear off when someone calls you, so the only time you'll be happy with it is when You call someone.

Thanks it works !! at least double my vol !!!

I have 3.16 as well.. and it does not reset back to default even someone call u .. it will only reset back if u power on/off the phone...

I just hope someone really write a small sw since it is possible...

trick or bug - as long as it works and makes my speaker louder im fine with that - i can even call it spanky and still i wont mind. :D

'Trick' works, but the party on the other end gets an echo of his/her own voice.

Back to the drawing board.

By the way, this 'trick' works on 3.16, but it goes away after an incoming call. :P
