I have been exploring the phone, has anyone noticed in the Z drive, install directory, there seems to be many plugins/addons, has anyone tried them, or know what they're for? for example there's Stdlib.sis which installs C Library and MediaServer.SIS.... :-?

Z drive is where your Symbian OS are installed and running. All the appl in there are part of Symbian OS in your phone, just like in MS windows, there are so many dll, exe files... all are supporting other appls.

Notice the 16Meg in there.. it's your chipset or motherboard compomnents
