Hey, ive done some cazy stuff for this thing, gettin a 1gb mmc card to work, installing opera, ohh good times....

Anyway, i would love to have a reliable usable internet on this thing, i know some internet enhancing apps have helped (the ir internet one was pretty good) but i would love to get wifi or rj45 on this beast. Ive had plenty of ideas from a mmc wireless card (like sd-io, stupid nokia for using mmc) to irda to 802.11b convertors, but then a simpler idea came to me. I, being a nerd, looked through my junk piles and found it. It looks like this ..http://www.computerpartsnow.com/photos/CAB-9AS-FDTE-2T.jpg... i wonder if we could use a male-male adapter and create drivers to make a 9290 to ethernet converter out of the regular 9290 data cable? Any other ideas

This solution already exists, but it's not cheap (US$179). With that any old serial device can connect to ethernet networks.
