Hi guys,

I know theres a really common problem on the N70 where large mp3 ringtones don't play.

I'm experiencing this, but even my standard Nokia tones don't play until the last ring either. I installed the nokia bug fix app (seems to just ensure you have standard nokia tone as backup) but still find the problem.

Is there actually a way to fix this?

This was fixed in a firmware update too. You might have more sucess with that. Otherwise I don't think there is anythign beyond the Nokia fix.

I had the same problem. I changed my LOG settings from 30 days to 1 day and made sure any MP3 ringtone I was currently using was on the phone memory instead of the memory card and the RINGTONE issue has vanished...

The shortening of the LOG is annoying but I can live with it not to have to listen to that AWFUL NOKIA default ringtone again

sorry to be a dumbass but i cant find the log settings anywhere

All good mate- just head into your menu => tools => log => log settings

This assumes you've not moved LOG from its original default location... Hope this helps

Hi try updating your f/ware version press *#0000# it will tell you what it is latest is: v 5.0609.2.0.1 should help with problem (",)

If you do get it updated make sure you save all phone numbers/photos/ringtones etc to your memory card as will reset it to factory settings(if you pay for the generic flash which is better especially if you are on orange) best practice to do this before any major change to phone (",)
